Business Analysts add value to change through bringing people together and building an understanding of their goals and objectives. How often have you reviewed a workshop and discovered widely differing views on what was discussed? We all have our own perception of the world and everyone experiences this in their own way. Through using Neuro linguistic programming (NLP), differences can be recognised which makes communication easier. In addition by adapting to the different ways people process information we build better rapport and reduce frustration. In this interactive workshop Corrine Thomas, independent Business Analysis consultant and certified NLP trainer will give you an overview of NLP and share with you techniques for applying it to business analysis.

Corrine Thomas is an experienced leader and expert Business Analyst with over 25 years of experience working in a variety of analyst roles across a range of industry sectors including Local Government, Healthcare, Telecommunications and Financial services. In her most recent roles Corrine has contributed to the creation of successful BA communities in two large companies. She has a proven track record of creating and transforming capability of business analysis practices through utilising robust people management, training and coaching. In addition she has many years’ experience of delivering business analysis on large scale change programmes. Corrine has regularly delivered presentations and workshops at the BA conference Europe and to internal BA communities within a number of companies, where she has focussed on personal skills development. She contributed to the 2013 book “Business Analysis and Leadership: Influencing Change” (published by Kogan Page). Corrine is passionate about career and personal development for Business Analysts, her mission is to enable Business Analysts to become role models and confident leaders in the profession. She is currently Operations Director of the International Institute of Business Analysis, UK Chapter and Director of the Business Analysis Managers Forum.
