B2 - UML for Business Analysts

Object oriented design and programming have already changed the way systems analysts and coders are working, but business analysts, tasked with communicating requirements to the developers, are still working as though OO does not exist. This presentation provides a short introduction to the role and purpose of the key UML diagrams and explains how a BA can fully exploit them during an IT project.

Lectured at University of Cape Town from 1980 to 2011 on a variety of undergraduate and post graduate programmes.  Authored numerous text books and conference papers.  Recent research focused on teaching and learning strategies and Agile approaches to developing systems.
