The event will be held in the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), opened in 2004, which offers superb facilities and state-of-the-art technologies, comparable to the best in the world. The CTICC is located between the Cape Town Central City and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, right in the midst of hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and shopping.

CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

A message from the Chairperson of the Western Cape Property Development Forum, Deon van Zyl, and the 2020 Conference Organising Committee:

Due to Covid-19, we recently changed the date of our annual conference from May to August 2020. However, in light of the recent announcement by the Western Cape Provincial Government to convert the Cape Town International Convention Centre into an 800-bed Covid-19 hospital, as well as the ongoing prohibition of all public gatherings, we are faced with cancelling this year’s conference.

The impact of the Covid-19 lockdown on our industry has been and continues to be severe. Ironically, the need for the industry conference is now greater than ever since there will have to be serious deliberation on the actions required to resurrect the property development and construction sector. Since this cannot take the form of a physical conference we are currently investigating alternative platforms and liaising with professionals who specialise in online conferencing, webinars and networking.
