All Africa Expo which will be held in conjunction with 16th International Special Tooling and Machining Association World Conference (ISTMA 2023) brings impressive lineup of exhibitors
Delegates attending the 16th International Special Tooling and Machining Association World Conference (ISTMA 2023), which coincides with the All Africa Expo this year, have a lot to look forward to – especially when it comes to local and global exhibitors who will be showcasing the latest innovations and trends in the tooling industry as well as showcasing their manufacturing capabilities and investment potential.
Organisers of the event have announced a diverse and impressive lineup of exhibitors which include:
- Metallurgical and Manufacturing Services’ story began in February 1998 following a downscaling action implemented by the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa at Pelindaba, as a result, MMS was born. The experience gained at NECSA includes the manufacturing of special alloys, development of manufacturing processes, as well as serving as the metallurgical arm of the department responsible for the design, manufacture and maintenance of all rotational equipment used in the uranium enrichment process.
- Wagner Systems is an ISO 9001:2015-certified contract manufacturer in the engineering field, specializing in the production of fine mechanics components and assemblies. The company is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and was founded in 1965. It provides specialist precision engineering services to customers in various industries worldwide. These include, amongst other, enterprises producing medical services (dental implant systems, audiology/hearing aids, cardiovascular, ophthalmology and endoscopy) and laboratory equipment, aerospace, radioastronomy, the medical industry, and in general – even music instrument and car model builders.
- Emile Coetzee, MD of Capewell Springs and Metal Pressings, said: “As a major stakeholder in the local tool, die and mould industry, Capewell is very keen to exhibit [at the All Africa Expo], where we will be displaying our own manufacturing capabilities and product range as well as collaborating with the rest of our industry, to show how together, we can continue to transform the manufacturing landscape in Cape Town, South Africa and the rest of our beautiful continent.”
Capewell Springs and Metal Pressings was established in 1981 and is an ISO9001:2015 approved engineering and design partner. - While Stephan Aucamp, Business Director at Injection Technik, a specialist company that deals in the repair and maintenance of injection moulds, the graining of injection moulds, laser welding and all other items related to this type of industry said: “We, as a PtSA member as well as a service provider to the international mould making community feel that this is an opportunity not to be missed. Having attended several trade fairs in the past we understand the costs involved in making trips to either Europe or the Far East to attend these fairs – which often do not translate into any direct business. The All Africa Expo will be beneficial to our organisation as we will mingle with mould manufacturers from across the world in one location.”
“Additionally, for those looking to expand into the African market, manufacturers and end users of the equipment we support will also be present and we are looking forward to not only welcoming the global tooling and manufacturing fraternity to our doorstep, but also to setup and create networking linkages that will result in growth for our company in the future.”
The ISTMA World Conference promises delegates insightful technical sessions to keep attendees up to date with the latest production trends and tooling technology.
The tooling industry, as with many others, is undergoing major changes as a result of global economic and technology shifts that require industry players to evolve in order to meet demands. Stakeholders need to be aware of technical advances in tooling manufacture as well as the development of the required skills to be able to manage these advances, and this Conference will address these issues in depth. Delegates will benefit from the unprecedented networking opportunities with global industry leaders and business people, that this Conference will offer.
“We have carefully curated a selection of exhibitors that are at the forefront of the latest trends and developments in the industry. These companies represent the very best in the industry and their presence at the conference will be a tremendous resource for all attendees,” said Bob Williamson, President at ISTMA.
